The Coeliac Society of Victoria hopes that you will look favourably upon a Professional Membership to the Coeliac Society of Victoria, and that your association with us will be productive and beneficial to you, whilst assisting people with coeliac disease.

We value the opinion of all practitioners and consider by working together, further awareness will be raised. Ultimately, the 1 in 100 Australians with coeliac disease will receive the relevant and factual information they require to improve their health and begin life on a gluten free diet.

For a patient to obtain membership of the Coeliac Society of Victoria, we require a letter confirming they either require a gluten free diet due to coeliac disease, gluten intolerance or dermatitis herpetiformis. This letter must be provided by a General Practitioner or Gastroenterologist. We have adopted this process as symptoms of coeliac disease present themselves in many ways, often showing similar characteristics to those of other unrelated diseases. We are unable to accept membership of a person that has been self diagnosed or by alternative practitioners.
